This instructions are to be used for stitching the 2 free standing embroidery design files:
You will need: 1. Two layers of water suluble vilene Avlon plus. This is the white Avlon product
that looks like tear away stabilizer but it will dissolve in water. 2. Embroidery thread. 3. Bobbins
that has been wound with the same embroidery thread as what you intend using for your top thread. 4.
Bowl of warm water.
Steps: 1. Stitch design on two layers of water soluble vilene. 2.
Cut most of the vilene away leaving about 2-3mm aroung the edges of your flower. 3. Now roughly
cut two pieces of vilene the same shape as your flower. Place one piece on top of design and one piece
underneath the design and hold it in place with your fingers as you dip the design in the bowl of warm
water . (This step is neccessary to make your flower more rigid to help it to stay upright when placed
in a container). 4. Dissolve in warm water for just a few seconds until vilene is dissolved. 5.
Lay design down on a flat surface to dry completely before ironing. A towel works well. 6. Set
your iron on medium heat and lightly press down on the dried out flower design. This will cause the remaining
Avlon plus to crystalise keep your design stiff. It is important to dip your design for just a few
seconds during step 4 so that some of the Avlon plus remains.
